Summer's finally here!
|
Hurrah! It seems as though summer may have
finally arrived and to mark this monumentous event it had to be
Pimms, Croquet and Boules followed by a BBQ.
The first of many such evenings I suspect :-) |

Babysitting
We went babysitting last night, the kids were great and didn't wake up which is lucky because I was far too busy playing with Dylan's lego :-D

Being short - A different perspective on life
I've lived with Ellen for about 2.5 years now but until this morning I have never seen what happens when I accidentally move her cereal to the back of the cupboard. I came into the kitchen this morning to see Ellen, very matter of factly, get a spatula from where the utensils live and whilst standing on her toes, at full stretch, use it to hook the cereal jar (full of some muesli concoction) to the front of the shelf so she could just about reach it and get it down!
I have to confess that I found this most amusing and rather then suggesting that we put this cereal on a lower shelf (very much a logical man's solution to this problem) I found myself thinking that I might 'accidentally' move the cereal to the back of the top shelf every day ;-D

My previous blog entry...
OK, so it turns out that my last entry about the flowers etc was a little, how can I say, sensitive!
As a result I think I need to set the record straight. You see, when I wrote that entry I was incredibly tired and the reason for this was that I'd just come back from a very manly, 5 day stag ;-) Whilst raging it up in Barcelona we stayed out partying until 6am, I lost €100 playing roulette and still got up early every morning to keep it real at the Grand Prix - oh, and check out that tapas order!

The power of the sun
|
It never ceases to amaze me just how much a nice
sunny day can change people's disposition. Just this morning on my way to work, for example, I saw one girl stop, get off her bike and pick a dandelion so she could blow the petals/seeds off - obviously she needed to know what the time was. Then, a few minutes later, I saw a man stray off the path to smell a flower at the side of the road. I have to admit that it did make me think how it's important to remember that many of the best things in life are free and only take a moment out of your day. |
